Sharon Burton brings an array of valuable skills to her position as training project manager in the global products and services division of Laureate Education Inc., an international higher-education services company. Based in its headquarters in Baltimore, Md, Ms. Burton oversees systems training for over 55 universities and colleges that are in the company's educational network.
An expert in organizational development, Ms. Burton has 25 years of professional experience. As a Certified Human Capital Strategist, she has worked extensively in the fields of recruitment, human resources and system integration group training. Moreover, Ms. Burton completed certification in Kirkpatrick’s Four Level Evaluation Model to evaluate training programs. The author of two books, Ms. Burton has written extensively on customer service and diversity in the workplace.
Ms. Burton has two Master of Business Administration degrees from American InterContinental University—one in human resources and another in operations management. She also has a bachelor’s degree in criminology from Florida State University. She is presently pursuing a doctorate from the National Graduate School of Quality Management.
Ms. Burton maintains affiliations with the Society for Human Resource Management, the Human Capital Institute and Toastmasters International. In her free time, she enjoys writing and volunteering with her local chapter of the Girl Scouts.
